Not getting any tracking on this other site so I’ll ask here because there is a few painters around here. Is there any way to remove the black spots on my truck paint? Didn’t use to be as bad years ago and they some what fade after a wash, but didn’t know if I could buff/polish or whatever to get it looking better.

Scrub and scrub and scrub. Maybe try a bug and tar remover.

Right on. Didn’t know if it was something like wet sand, compound, or something else. Guess I’ll work the ole elbows out again. I’ve tried soap before and it never takes it out completely

Try those white magic sponges they get anything off and if you rub hard enough they will take the clear coat so try gently as they will get that off. Smile

Clay bar. As bad as it is try the synthetic clay as you can wash it off and keep using it. Regular clay you’ll not get very far before it’s trash. You’ll also need a spray detailer for lube.

Thanks. I tried some compound today and all it did was fade it more than normal after a wash. I’ll try some clay

Try Stoner Tarminator or CarPro Tar X. These products won't damage the paint.
