Still quite a bit of work to do but time goes by fast. Hopefully no delays because those can be a pain in the ass.

Did you start building your track yet or just slowly getting settled in the retirement lifestyle?

No, not building anything yet. The house is costing us a lot of money due to vagaries of the construction loan market, but we'll get it straightened out.

I didn't slowly settle into the retirement lifestyle...I flew into it and love it each day. Every day is Saturday!

Keep us posted on the house. Any progress pics?

Any Alessi sightings at the track? He's switching teams this year. Still on green though. More than likely will be his last year now that he's expecting a child.

Hey Mav. Sorry it took me so long to get back with you. Have not seen Mike in quite awhile. I did see Mike's 800 bus at a body shop place in Hilliard back around the time of Irma.

Retirement is good. I definitely like it.

Above is a cypress fireplace mantle our builder gifted us. Him and his dad cut that tree down decades ago.

Looking good so far. I see your master bathroom shower has a tiled ceiling. Are you putting in a steam unit?

No, but there are two shower heads. One is a rainfall type and the other is a regular off on the left side.

I must have a problem with my eyes. I could swear I read that you have a pump house for the water softener, when clearly that is the starting gate doghouse.

Haha, Falcon!! It does kind of look like one now that you mention it. When I build my track on the back five acres, I won't need a doghouse as there will be no races there - except for some friendly dicing with a few friends.
