Have some buddies into dual sporting and recently sold a Husky supermoto so I was kind of itching to get another street legal bike but something more fun. Picked up this leftover 2017 250 EXC-F for a great deal and love it so far. It feels LIGHT and nimble, have just broken it in so far but I can't wait to get it into some gnarly trails.

Can't find much info on these bikes because no one buys the 250 I guess. I mulled it over for weeks on if getting a street legal bike that small is stupid but I think it'll be rad. They come super corked up so I'm doing some freebee mods and putting on a JD FI tuner and then will go from there. I considered picking up a sx-f exhaust for it as well to see how that does.

Love the bike, I've been thinking about getting a dual sport myself. How are you liking it so far?

Thing is sick! Feels just like the mx versions of KTM bikes but with softer suspension. Feels very light and nimble for a bike with lights and extra crap on it.

I had a 350 exc-f. The tuner and a fmf 4.1, just a steel one, really opened the bike up! Pumped for you. I really want one again now!!

Thanks! How much time/miles did you put on yours?

Ya man I love it, haven't had one problem with it other than the rear plate holder coming loose every ride. I replaced the entire rear assembly and the new/better one does it as well, annoying. Ideally I would have gone with a 350 (maybe a 450) but this one was a great leftover price when I bought it and it's such a fun bike. I opened up the intake, sometimes I run an sx-f muffler and I have a JD tuner. It is much better than stock even with that minimal stuff done.
