I'm looking at buying my first bike, I do have experience on borrowed bikes and am a mid-upper pack B rider. I have narrowed it down to the XC line but do not know the true riding differences between these two bikes. Any feedback would be appreciated.

The 250 is similar to a motocross bike in the way it likes to be revved while the 300 has more bottom end with a tractor like feel.

The 300 is pretty similar to a 4 stroke.

Both are sweet bikes.

Grew up racing downhill mountain bikes, went pro around 18 and there are a lot of similarities between the sports.

Sounds like the 300 is the way to go. looks like it will be easier getting my hands on a TX300. Looks like the TX and XC bikes are nearly identical, (outside of magura clutch and breaks) is this true?

Yeah. I have a 2018 TX300 and it is an awesome bike. It does great on the track as well. The torque the bike has will allow 3rd gear through most turns on a track and everything but the tightest of trails. I can't recommend the 300 enough.

Depends on your style really, if you are aggressive and like to make a 2stk bark get the 250. If not go with the 300, like mentioned above the 300 has more torque and bottom end which helps for hill climbing or running a gear high and staying smooth. I had a 17 250xc and now have a 19 300xc and I prefer the 300.

I think it depends on what you want to do with it but also what your riding style is. If you want to race/track it then I would probably lean towards the 250, if you want to ride trails/single track/ off-road then I would lean towards the 300. If you like to ride aggressively and rev the bike then I would lean towards the 250. If you like to keep the RPMs lower and tractor, then I would say 300. I bought my first 300 this year and for offroad riding its the best bike I've ridden, hands down. My 450 collects dust now.

Nice dude. The TX300 is an ideal Colorado bike. I love mine.
