And in need of an ultra trick DeCarli full carbon airbox? Just asking so that I don't have to build something cool around a single part that I haven't purchased yet....LOL.

Yeah yeah yeah

Knowing you, Joe, you'll probably find a clean 2000 YZ with a clogged pilot for $200 next week that happens to have works suspension on it.

It was a 97 model and that Craigslist ad had already expired. It had PC "works" suspension and a ti subframe.....Sad

Very cool! It would be a good reason to find a bike. How much?

You sound as warped as me! $300.00 Problem is you couldn't just put this on a stock bike now could you?

Totally! Honestly, I have too many projects already but I stumble upon potential project bikes and parts all the time.

No, it would be rediculous to put this on a stock bike, but together with a Rinaldi engine kit and an alu tank I could live with it Smile
The Rinaldi kits were sold in large numbers here in Sweden at that time so they should be possible to get cheap.

If you find me an aluminum tank I'll buy a yz 125 to put all this on.
If I found an aluminum tank, I'd be that much closer to buying it!Laughing

yeah think the airbox was same 96-01 just changing colour 00-01
that looks like a sweet virgin 97,

Yea it is. I've had my eye on it since I moved here. It's too bad it wouldn't be a lot of fun to make a 1997 factory yamaha replica because all their factory bikes look just like the stock ones.

I think if I built a 125 I would do a Yamaha of troy replica like this. But then I wouldn't be able to use teh carbon fiber air box! doh!

yeah they were nice those troy bikes
i had an ex malin team bike for my 1st onetwentyfive like this (year he was runner up to sebtoretelli)

always wanted to do a replica of it, just waiting for perfect bike

I scored this low hour 97 yesterday so if anyone have trick parts I may be interested. I already have an Öhlins fork and the jolly moto pipe pictured and a tecnosel cobra seat cover with a guts seat foam.

I look for a titanium subframe, öhlins rear shock, Rinaldi engine kit and an aluminum tank.

If it'snot a silly question, how does that air box boot fit to the carb with it being rigid? No flexibility to get it on, and no give in the material to allow the hose clamp to tighten on to the back of the carb...

Anyone have any trick 2001 YZ 125 parts floating around? That airbox and subframe look sweet but I would imagine someone snapped them up by now!

My guess is that it uses a rubber or silicone coupler like car turbo pipes (or small aircraft intake runners if anyone's familiar).

I may be able to help out as well......

I have one extra linkage assy. The link is out at the hard anodisers (the one pre ordered is staying au-natural) Rockers should be finished by the end of play tomorrow.
