Berg streamliners and others hard to find carbon fibre parts

Hi all I have been chasing some (reasonably priced)berg streamliners for a splitfire build with no luck.
This is where I need somebody’s help,I have been in contact with a Canadian company legacy carbon mx (check there Instagram)they are willing to replicate any carbon fibre part that we can supply for replication . Also in return make a free part for the person supplying the original.

I might be wrong. But I don't think they can just copy someone else's parts can they? My son has a couple sets and when I asked him about this post he said same thing. Not to mention that they will make a cap load of them .

I say make a crap load of them and let people buy them for their builds. Sure, it will devalue some original builds/parts, but the struggle is real with finding these old parts. It can be a huge hold-up. I'm interested in a set myself for less than $285. I just can't justify that. (That's about the lowest I've seen on price)

That’s the idea make heaps for the demand. There’s guy already selling fake ones for over inflated prices berg is long gone as a company so don’t see any trouble. Same as UFO polisport plastics the oem plastic manufacturers don’t seem to mind

Isn't half the fun of doing a build chasing the parts ? If everything is available what's the point you have thousands of the same build. Just my thought on it.

Not planning on doing a KX build, but Im all for remaking the hard to find parts for replica builds. I dont think there will be any legal issues getting these made.

Those streamliners are so basic, just make a new design. Then the og stuff can retain its value.

Chasing parts is the worst part of a build.

I have the carbon fiber right side frame/brake res. guard, skid-plate, chain guide & chain guard for '99-'02 KX125

I'm missing the left side frame guard tho...anyone have one of those available?

In my opinion replica parts won’t de value an original/works part... is an SR 250 worth any less because KX 250s exist??? Or is a genuine fender or rad panel worth less because UFO or a.n other is making replicas??? Just my thoughts, I would be happy with some replica carbon parts but still excited to see a genuine piece...

I’ve avoided doing a kx build due to the crazy prices for the parts. This is good news to all those guys looking to do a quality build that doesn’t break the bank.

A few bits are on their way to me now.. Frame and fork guards, mud flaps, clutch/ ignition covers, brake line and chain guides, fork shoe/ lug guards, gas tanks, silencer end caps, engine hangers, front and rear disc guards, skid plates, case savers and a few others I believe. They will be selling everything I sent in...
