A bit old, out of focus and grainy looking, I took photos with the digital camera from old photos......
These photos were found in my parents house the past weekend in an old album. I had forgotten about these and enjoyed looking at them again.
These were shot out at Canyon Raceway north of Phoenix around 1980-81...
I remember Johnny had recently signed with Honda and brought the Mugen and a production 1981 CR250 out with him in his old yellow Nissan truck.

The Shop
I remember hearing how Johnny had that little red tool box with him for a long time. I remember seeing it still when he was making money and on his way to a Supercross Championship.
I remember him in this mini pickup, then boom... he's got the Mugan, Al Baker, a Japanese Mechanic and a USGP 125 win.
I wonder if a kid today can make it on a shoestring budget (until getting noticed) as many guys did back in the day.
