I had been looking for a CanAm Mx6-250 or an ASE-250 and was having zero luck finding what I was looking for when this ATK showed up, so I bought it and this past weekend went on a road trip to pick it up. Im pretty happy with it. It does definitely need some attention, with most being pretty minor, stuff like loose kick start hub, loose bars, badly worn rear tire, damaged clutch lever, wrong front brake lever, bashed pipe. So, It will get a complete rebuild, probably start on that this fall. I cant wait to start working on it!!!

As I said, was originally looking for a CanAm. The Plastics are in really good shape, but black really isnt my thing. I'll have to see what I can find. Mid-90s KTM plastics fit so I may do something in orange & white to tie it back to CanAm.

Stuff is out there, be patient. I love Can Am bikes myself. Love the 83/84 models mostly, but think the air cooled late 70s and early 80s are cool as hell.

Was going to wait for winter to start the rebuild.........but thats not working, guess I'll start it now, will probably move slowly until later in the summer. So I'll start a thread in the rebuild section.

Raced the older ATK's back in the day. Best part was people asking what they were usually followed by a comment like "Those are weird", followed by them eating their dust!
