I'm looking for a new set of riding pants - I've kinda [i:2vhz6evn]outgrown[/i:2vhz6evn] my old ones. I'd love to have a pair of the real thing, Torsten Hallman goatskins [img:2vhz6evn]http://img373.imageshack.us/img373/3624/loverb3.gif[/img:2vhz6evn] from Vintage Iron, but at $500 it's gonna be a while before I can get my CFO to approve the acquisition... I figure it's gonna have to be some modern textile pants, but I'd rather not have some of these multi-patterned heavily logo'ed pants that are so common. I'd prefer something that's closer to vintage styling. What are you vintage guys wearing - any suggestions?
$550? Wow, I got mine for X-mas back in '71 so I don't know how much they were, but I'm guessing considerably less.

yeah man, actually $499.95. Santa must have been getting a good deal on 'em back then - I got a pair for Christmas also, but I'm figuring it was probably '74 -

I still had them up until about 10 years ago - they were kinda stiff, moldy, & smelly from being stuffed in a duffel bag in the garage since the last time I used them.

man, for the real thing, I would think so - it could be a matter of connecting with the right buyer. If it was me, I wouldn't part with them [i:1a7fcbe5]at all[/i:1a7fcbe5], but I certainly wouldn't take less than the current price for comparable leathers -
