I have a 02 Honda Cr250r. Looking for some more power, at the point of porting cylinder and head work. Most info I find "googling" around for info is 5-15 years old. Who currently is still sharp with the old 2 stroke and worth sending your stuff too? I see reviews on Gorr that are all over the place, Varner number is no longer in service. Pro Circuit, PR2, Williamsmotorwerx? Anyone have current dealings in this area? Appreciate the info.

I used TMR...Tom Morgan Racing, for my 96 cr 250 engine. Very professional, fairly quick turn around and most important to me was, he did the work...one man show....you want to use someone who has a "package" they will tell you what carb, pipe, silencer, reeds, piston, gas ect to run & will have a good base for jetting because it"ts their package. Oh, the engine he did for me is superb, mid-top end, same package he did for Heath Voss when he was doing his engines.

TMR, Varner, Chad Watts, or Pro Circuit. I've got an 03 CR that I'm considering getting some port work done on as well

Watts does very good work, but he's very expensive and there are negative reviews regarding his business practices. He filed for bankruptcy in 2016. However, many other businesses also have been bankrupt in the past so it's not a knock aimed at him personally..
Do your own diligence prior to sending out your parts in order to make an informed decision.

Call Chuck Lee in Colorado. Dude is sort of an unknown legend who knows how to build a CR 250.

I think he is a 7 time Pikes Peak Hill Climb champ on CR 250's and multi time flat track, road race, supermoto champ.

If you want a fast engine PC or Chad Watts would be my suggestion. I'm running an 03 CR2 with a PC modified cyl & head that runs on C12 & it's very fast. In comparison to other modified CR, YZ, RM & KX 250 2t's owned or ridden the 03 CR2 is noticeably faster.

I know this may not count as a recommendation but we would be more than happy to help. We have a lot of experience with CR250s in the motor mod department. If you'd like to check out our work or get in contact you can find us @vperacing on FB/instagram.
