For anyone who is looking to get an exhaust for their 250, 350 or 450, take a hard look at going through Tokyo Mods. The stock exhaust is extremely restrictive (and sounds like an XR50). Putting a new exhaust, as has been noted all over the internet, makes these bikes run super lean as they already come from the factory a little lean to begin with. I was going to adjust the TPS after installing a slip on, but that is a bandaid fix. I looked into Tokyo Mods based off of a few recommendations from some of the bros on this forum. Incidentally, they were offering a deal I couldn't resist.

They are currently running a deal with their exhaust sales in which they will do a free remap with purchase. I bought an FMF Ti slip on and had my ECU remapped for $399 shipped. That's a pretty good deal considering that RMATV sells the same exhaust for $450 and a remap on its own would cost another $100.

I had them map for just the slip on and a 50/50 mix of pump gas and VP 110. The difference in throttle response and low end is astonishing. I haven't gotten to open it up too much yet as everything came in the mail last night, but I will go ride tomorrow and give a more detailed report. I am pleased so far. The bike seems to start a little easier as well. The icing on the cake is the FMF slip on is half the weight of the stocker.

The customer service from Tokyo Mods was excellent. I highly recommend them.

2017 fc450. Fmf 4.1 full system, no air filter screen and holes in the side plates. Really rips after the remap

Ps. You can find the full titanium system for $683 If you look hard enough. 3lbs lighter bit mist importantly it's 3 piece

Do you know off the top of your head if the stock filter is flame retardant? I believe all twin air filters are, but I just want to be sure before I put a two stroke cage in it.

No idea, but I've run all brands and never had an issue.

Funny thing is, if you buy an oem twin air it's cheaper than the aftermarket twin air but they are the same!

Rode the bike today. There's more power everywhere with more overrev. It flat out rips. If you're on the fence, you shouldn't be. Knowing what I know now, I'd gladly pay for the remap if it wasn't free with my pipe.
