Bought this 01 cr125 about 2 weeks ago.
The bike runs, but it does not open up like it should.
Runs crappy through low, mid, and top.
Things i have checked:
-plug (new one installed)
-air filter (brand new, not too much oil
- fresh 32-1 premix
-Carb (rebuilt, seems too want leaner condition but doesnt help much)
-reeds and carb boot
-powervalve (was gunked up, but works freely now)
- compression (123psi, good quality gauge)

Im too the point where i think it could be a spark timming issue, or possibly bad crank seals. I do not have a leak down tester. But i am getting discouraged. First honda ive ever owned, think i should stick too yamaha. If anyone could offer some advice, i would appreciate it

Make sure the motor is good. Then clean and jet your carb.

Motor, as in the crank seals?
Everything. Your compression is a little low too.

Compression is very low. This will look like it is running rich as all the fuel will not be burnt.

Ok, and also i forgot too mention. When the bike is idling it will slightly rev up and down.

Air leak, but you need to address the low compression first.
