2002 cr125 waterpump wistle fixed but back to leaking

I rebuilt my waterpump recently with all new gaskets, seals, and a bearings and now my water pump whistles, but it not does leak coolant at all but it does wistle pretty loud. Any help is appreciated.

How’s the bike run? Whole different machine, but on cars, when the water pump whistles it’s usually because the seals are bad.

Id guess you put a seal in backwards or didnt put grease on them. Also how is air getting in to whistle in the first place?

Did you forget the washer that goes in-between the impeller and the shaft. (cr250 has this not 100% the 125 does)

Either sucking air or impeller rubbing housing.

the wistle is now fixed and the only think left to replace is the shaft. can that alone cause a leak?

Yea if the shaft is damaged then it wont seal correctly.
