2005 yz250 sss conversion help

I have an 05' and I recently have 09' 450 suspension on it. My question is which axle so I use on the front wheel? I believe I read the 05 2 stroke axle won't work as it will be to long. I want to make sure which year I use so I can order it. Any help will be appreciated

If you have 09 forks then you put the 2009 axle in them. Assuming you used the 2009 clamps. If youre on 2005 clamps with 09 forks i cant say. Probably better off getting the 09 clamps rather than waiting on a reply for something so specific.

I have an 05 Yz250 and I also but 09 450 forks on it. I had to use the 09 forks, triple clamps, axle bolt, wheel spacers, and brake caliper mount. I also had to swap the steering stems because the one from the yz450 was a little too short.

If you are just doing the forks and not the triple clamps, then I'm not so sure about the axle. Seems like the people that did that had to cut the wheel spacers in order the get the front wheel centered? I'm not positive about that part though.

Yes I have entire setup from the 09' 450 forks. Once I stalled everything the axle is too long(sticks out a bit)
I'll order the 09' axle, I'm just not sure if the axle I have is the 05' or from the 09'
