Hey, I was wondering if someone could help me on an estimate. How much would it cost to rebuild a 2009 yz125 bottom end. Also what places do you guys know that would do this work. Thank you guys very much.

I've been doing a lot of reading here at Vital and have learned that you can rebuild a 2 stroke bottom end for $162.14. If you add in the $26.44 for a top end kit you can have an all new engine in her for less than $200

Ok, I may be full of crap this morning. You should call a local mechanic to get a detailed quote.

it all depends on what you are having done. rebuild the crank, replace it with a new crank, tranmission work, etc... it could be anywhere from $500-$1500 dollards depedning on what they find when the split the cases.

Depends on what parts you need and guessing $300-$400 for labor

Id set aside $1000 to be safe. A connecting rod can be over $300 if you buy high end like a carillo rod. Some builders only use OEM parts which is a lot more expensive than aftermarket stuff. Millennium tech and ken oconnor are places i know that do it off the top of my head. Call them for something accurate. It really depends on the parts you use. Labor is a few hundred at the most.

After 5 months my 05 crank is replaced. Labor charge 633.00 hv prices really gone up that much ? My estimate was 500 then 100 is added to remove the engine. I was told 500 for dropping the whole bike off . Removing engine was included.  This is a new buisness.  Is that the going rate now ? Plz respond

$1500 + for sure

even if the top end is “ fine “ I’m putting a new piston and ring in if I rebuilt the bottom end so in my eyes it’s a complete rebuild and not just bottom end …. And as mentioned above you never know what you’re going to find until you get it all apart .
