I just bought a 2016 SX 125 that I am thinking about converting to a 150. Has anyone done this? Pros, cons, etc? I'm a 200lbs vet b rider so I feel it can't hurt.

I found an OEM kit for 800 which includes cylinder, head, all gaskets, power valve, and new ignition.

I figure I can get 250+ out of my stuff, leaving me 550 in the hole... since I will be at least doing a $150 top end anyway, more like 400 in the hole. Is that worth it?

I ride a 150SX 2016
Have about 95kg and like the extra power from the 150.
Last year i test a 125 TC, a very good bike but the 150 is easier to ride when you weight more.
I think its worth the 800$

I suggest the JD jet kit. I was very impressed with it for my 16 125. They have 150 settings also.

My enduro bike (Husqvarna Te) is converted from 125 to 150, huge difference in power and service intervals are just about the same.

Having both bikes, the 150 has a bit better punch off the bottom, but signs off in the higher RPMs quicker, The 125 lacks a tiny bit off the bottom but pulls through a gear so much longer.
