Thinking of swapping out my 4CS forks for AER's and am trying to get an understanding of the changes that were made between the 2016 and 2017 model KTM four strokes.
Is it true that the AER forks are slightly longer than the 4CS forks? If so, were there any changes made to the shock to compensate for the longer forks? Actually, now that I mention it, I know that the 2016 had 247mm length shock springs while the 2018's came with 260mm length spring. So does that mean that the shock was actually longer or were there changes to the linkage pullrod or something?

My CV fork is shorter then my AER, but the ride height is same if i run them on the second line so to say.
On my 16 I rode with the shorter forks at 1-2 lines up. If you put the AER on, try and 2-3 lines up on the 17.
I run 105 sag to give you an idea on the balance.
