I am replacing my Clutch Slave with an OEM unit, and there appears to be a C-clip or collar around the top plunger/diaphragm. Should I remove this or leave this in? I'm not sure if it was there for shipping etc?

Thanks in advance!

According to the diagram, you have a piston, o ring, return spring that go into the slave cylinder. Obviously you will have the two cooper washers and banjo bolt for the hose and a gasket bolting the cylinder to the case.

Thanks, I will try and post a pic of the clutch slave.

For a bit more clarification, there is a C-Clip that is holding or preventing the Piston from moving too far forward. The piston cannot come out with it in. I removed it thinking it was to keep the part(s) together for shipping purposes.

that clip stays in, the only part removed to install on the bike is that little clear plastic piece in where the banjo bolt goes.
