Hey y'all, I didn't really want to clog up the front page so I'll throw this out here-
I'm looking for another fun rebuild project bike. I rode a '94 or '95 YZ-250 back when and
recall that I liked it. Couldn't tell you which year it was exactly as it was a friend's bike.
Anyway, if you had a choice, which one would you go after? Didn't they change the motor
a little in '95? Is it an either/or? Yes, I want to stay with that generation and not the '96 on up.
Thanks!

Most folks would say the 95 was ever so slightly better but it in reality it really was a wash. The bikes did not feel terribly different. I had a 94 and rode it back to back with some 95's when they first came out and just kept my 94. I had a Noleen pipe, shaved head, and proper jetting on my 94 and it ran great. Pulled so many holeshots with that bike.
Here's a good rundown.
