Help Cleaning Stator

Whats the best way to clean this up. I've read a few thing on the www but nothing solid. I had the crank go out on a cr 250f has the brass washer shavings all in it. Worried about spraying any cleaners on the stator.

mineral spirits should work pretty good. I've flushed shavings out before with mineral spirits. the builder didn't get it all out of the same area so we just dumped that shit in there until it was clean.
