Help Identify This Spacer

Hey everyone,

I just picked up an '06 YZ250 (my 3rd '06 and 4th YZ) and noticed something I'm not familiar with. There is an aluminum spacer between the clutch cover and the case. Picture below. Anyone know what it is?

It’s for flywheel to cover clearance... odds are you have a flywheel weight on your bike...

The cable goes in there and connects to the actuator arm. That is probably why he said that.

Pretty much. I haven't replaced a clutch since like 2003. Asked questions on the internet before I used my head. Thanks for the info though.
