I have a 2017 tc250 and I love everything about it UNTIL I ride my yz125. Would really like to convert it to a spring fork. Wondering if anybody has swapped kyb sss forks onto the bike? Is there an “axel block” that I could swap onto the lower fork leg of the kyb fork to maintain oem axel and caliper mount. Any help would be much appreciated.

Techinal Touch has a kit where you swap your internals I think.

They do. It’s just a little expensive. I was hoping to swap a set of kyb sss onto the bike and sell my aer stuff. Was just wondering if anyone had done it “easily”.

Ive got an 06 yz and a 17 tc, i hated the aer48 from the start. I had the race tech spring conversion with gold valves put in. The sss has better bottoming resistance but otherwise they feel simular to me. im happy with the way they feel. I talked to a few suspension guys and both told me any type of sss conversion would be expensive.

Kyb billet axle lugs are available for around 600 but you need to run the struggle clamps made specifically for this conversion which are around 900. I did this on my 17 fc350 and love it

Ha! same situation of me. Have a 450 Yam with the sss forks revalved by EVO here in Wash. and they are sweet. Recently got a new KTM 450 FE and the AER forks beat my wrists up in chop compared to the Yami with KYB sss forks which I still have and ride frequently. I did get my AER forks back from Factory Connection with their harshness fix (prayers) but have not installed and rode them yet (flooded track).

Cradle to grave cost from Enzo to do the conversion is $1,500. Something to think about.

Oh I’ve been thinking about it!
Yea, the huskatoon doesn’t bother me until I ride the small bore, it doesn’t help that it’s re-valved/sprung for me. Best handling bike I’ve ridden and I want the husky to be as close as possible. Just trying to be frugal about it.
