I am prepping my 1977 RM 125B for Vintage MX. I replaced the stock swingarm with the longer aluminum swingarm from a 1980 Suzuki PE 175. The 77 RM 125 rear brake cable is too short. My questions are 1. Is there a longer rear brake cable available from another model that would work ? and 2. Will the 1979/80 RM 125 brake pedal work on the 77 frame ? If I could use the 79/80 pedal then maybe I could use the brake rod. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have spent a great deal of time on this problem and I honestly cannot come up with a working rear brake.

unfortunately i can not answer your specific questions but i think it's cool you are going to ride a vintage bike. one thing i can tell you though is that you may very well be able to have a cable made. I might start by calling motion pto.

Thank you for your response. I have sent Motion Pro an email and will call them tomorrow. Still wondering if brake pedal from 79 RM will work on my 77 RM125.

Also, Terry Cable will make you a longer cable.
