Suzuki rm 125 power valve help

could do with some help for my rm 125 power valve i have just done a top end put the power valve back together but it doesn't move not sure if im putting it in the wrong way or something else could do with some advice

not enough in the pictures for me to tell (maybe someone else can) but there should be good diagrams/pictures on line or in the manual....What year is this? also you should be able to reach up the exhaust and feel if the valves are aligned in the ports correctly, and of course if they move smoothly

thanks for the reply its an 08 im not sure if i put the side ones the wrong side the main bit sits nicely up the exhaust port it just doesnt move when i turn the mechanism
ill get more pictures later

i have more pictures now put it back in swapped the side parts of the power valve still cant get the mechanism to move im a bit stumped as to what it could be

Are you trying to move them by hand or with the engine running?
Remember that it should be in the governor and thus you may not be able to move them by hand.

thanks for the info i was tring to move them with a socket turning the bolt in the side of the second picture i can get the arm to move but its not moving the valves
im reasonably sure it did before

😳 i hope you weren’t yawrning on it hard because you are supposed to use a special tool to lock the PV arm in place when removing that bolt Same when reinstalling.

i stuck a small screwdriver in there when undoing it i didnt realise it needed it going back together although its not done up overrly tight just nipped up to check i had done it right
