I have a 2010 YZ450F, and the vortex ignition mounts on the steering head. I went to mount the Vortex handlebar map switch by the front brake and realized there was about 7 feet of cable when I only needed a foot at most. It says not to wind the cable tightly, so I don't have room to place it anywhere without it being somewhat of a hazard. I am actually considering not using it because of this. Have any of you ran into this issue? Even if it was under the seat it would leave an easy 4-5 feet of excess. Weird.

Also another question for anyone in this same situation, did you wind it tight and bend the wiring when you did? I was also thinking I could wind it up, smash it flat, and put one of the shrink wrap tubes around it to contain it all.

Thx, I will probably fold them and then shrink wrap over it so I can mount it cleanly, just wasn't sure about bending the wiring. Thx for the input.
