recently I purchased a set of 2008 spring a kit forks for my 2016 kx450f. I also purchased a new set of xtrig triple clamps and had them honed out to fit the older akit style. However, I didnt realize I needed a just a longer front axle (same size just longer due to the clamps being wider). It has to be at least 9 3/4inches but still can be a 22mm. My question is has anybody ever done this and if so what motorcycles axle did you use. I found a list of all the motorcycles that had the diameters of the axles but not the lengths.
Thanks!

I'm not sure on older a kits but I have sff air set and it uses a wide axel with spacers that pro circuit sells.

I'm not sure what era my spring a kit forks and shock are, im going to guess they're similar because they're not in the prettiest cosmetic shape, however I'm running ride engineering clamps and the stock axle. The only ones I knew that required a different axle were the newer SFF air or spring ones.

Legit A kits have serial # s . Find the #, and call the company that made the kit ,they can tell you the year and axle info.
