Hey guys, I just changed my tires (like I always do and it always worked no problem) but this f'cking tire man, was so hard to mount. Anyways, i damaged the inside a little bit on two spots while mounting. Hard to describe, to much pressure I guess. Do you think I can ride, I mean does it affect the tube or anything like that? I hope its no problem.. i know its stupid, but im racing this weekend and im planning to go there tomorrow, so..

I know, but its already done, you dont see anything from the outside and it sits well on the rim. it was like 2 spots (2-3 cm long) were it was overstretched on the inside. Just wanted to ask if anyone had the same experience and had problems afterwards.

If you tore any of the cords in the bead, it will fly off when you're riding.

You tore the bead. Not good. I would say you’re more likely to have an issue with it and get a flat than for it to be OK. I did this once before I really learned how to change a tire & have seen others do it too.

Is the bead seated correctly 100% all the way around the rim? The bead needs to have an even amount showing around the rim.

At the very least, ride the bike for a few motos before race day to see if holds without loosing a seated bead and getting a flat.

Seems like it would be okay to try and see how it holds up.

We'll see. Im going to ride on saturday training sessions, if it holds up I will race on sunday. But probably ill put on a new one next week.

And yeah, theres one spot where its maybe 1mm off, you really have to look very closely to see it.

I would rock it... if the bead is seated all the way around then your golden. I have done similar and the only time it was a problem is when the bead won’t set correctly.. next time get the tire warm and use dish soap or just be more careful
