Vital's Take: Austin Forkner has released an update video on his condition a couple of weeks after the crash he had at the Supercross finale. He mentions in the video that they had to remove part of his pancreas and his entire spleen. You can watch the full update below.

Ouch man. As a practicing MD that's gnarly. High grade spleen lacerations are relatively common, but devitalizing your pancreas is a whole different beast. Glad you're alive and out of the ICU.

Not familiar with the pancreas procedure, but my son had his spleen removed when he was 2 years old, and he just graduated high school. Just a daily dose of penicillin and you`re good to go. Get well soon.
