MotoConcepts Racing Opens Voting for Fan-Driven Rider Scholarship Program 2

MotoConcepts Racing (MCR) has opened voting for the scholarship program announced last week. Supercross fans can vote for qualified riders who submitted applications for the scholarship on the MotoConcepts website, www.motoconcepts.com.

This unique scholarship program allows fan voting to contribute to the selection of a non-supported privateer rider who will be the recipient of a fully supported and salaried position on the factory level MCR team. "We believe there are many talented riders that deserve to be a part of a factory level team. We want to couple that with serving the Supercross fan base by adding the fan favorite to the MCR team" says team owner, Mike Genova.

The winning rider will receive a 250cc racing bike, a 250cc practice bike, salary plus race-based performance bonus, paid expenses, training and support, sponsor benefits package and a race mechanic for the 2014 250cc West Coast Supercross season.

In addition, if the scholarship recipient is able to finish in the top ten overall in the West Coast series, he will be granted a full 2014 Motocross contract.

The scholarship will be granted based on the most fan votes on the MotoConcepts website, the winning rider's overall performance at the first two West Coast races, along with a personal review and ability to pass the team physical and illegal substance screening.

The winning rider will become a full MCR team rider beginning with the A2 race on January 18, 2014.

Fan voting runs through January 12, 2014 at www.MotoConcepts.com.

Interested riders can still submit an application online through MotoConcepts website, www.MotoConcepts.com. Applications will be accepted through January 8, 2014, and eligible riders will be added to the online ballot.
