Amp'd Mobile World Supercross GP/Amp'd Mobile AMA Supercross Series Sponsorship Line-Up Announced

AURORA, Ill. (January 4, 2007) – Amp’d Mobile World Supercross GP/Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series announced today the sponsor line-up for the 2006-’07 season. The Amp’d Mobile World Supercross GP kicked its season Dec. 2 at Toronto’s Rogers Centre, and the Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross  Series opens this Saturday at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Calif.

Amp’d Mobile enters their second year as title sponsor and used the two Canadian races as a springboard to their wireless expansion in Canada.

“Having the Amp’d Mobile World Supercross GP open in Canada is a great opportunity for us because in late February 2007, we will launch ‘Amp’d Mobile Canada,’” said Adrian Hunter, vice president of events and strategic partners, Amp’d Mobile. “Toronto and Vancouver are great markets for us to showcase our technology and our company’s mission.”

Toyota returns to Amp’d Mobile World Supercross GP/Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series as the official truck and will use the unique, male 18-34 demographic to target their customers.

“Being a part of Amp’d Mobile Supercross from Toyota’s standpoint means we are able to connect with our core customers,” said Doug Frisbie, engagement marketing manager of Toyota. “Our core truck buyers are supercross fans.  Supercross is really the place for Toyota to be.”

Amp'd Mobile brings exciting interactive displays and provides fans the opportunity to experience their products and services within the pits. In addition, fans can download live supercross racing and get a behind the scenes look at the sport, the riders, and the industry on the Supercross Channel of Amp'd Live right from their Amp'd Mobile handsets.  Amp'd Mobile will also be executing exciting promotions within the stadium at the live events.

Official Truck: Toyota
Fans can experience the Next Generation Tundra, the Tacoma, and the FJ Cruiser in the completely interactive Toyota display in the pits. In addition, Toyota will continue to support the privateers through their TMX program and other functions throughout the season. 

Official Electronics Retailer and Title of the Pit Party: Circuit City
Each week, fans can get a taste of all the products that Circuit City has to offer at their rig in the Circuit City Party in the Pits. Also, one lucky fan will win a complete Kicker Car Audio system during the Circuit City Under the Seat Giveaway at each event.

Official After-Market Parts Provider: Parts Unlimited
Parts Unlimited, the industry leader in after-market parts sales and distribution,  is once again a part of the Amp’d Mobile World Supercross GP/Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series. A true leader in the sport, their presence will be apparent through signage, a display truck, and their world-renown dealer showcase.

Official Apparel: Thor
Thor is the number one name in supercross/motocross apparel and casual wear, and they will once again be on hand to support their riders on the track and their riders in the stands. Fans can check out the new Thor apparel, including the 2007 Core Gear, at their consumer rig in the pits.

Official Insurance Company and Holeshot Sponsor: Progressive Casualty Insurance Company:
Progressive Casualty Insurance Company will have models in the pits, distributing bags to fans as they enter the pits and taking pictures with fans throughout the day and evening. Fans can catch the Progressive Direct girls in action when they present the Progressive Direct Holeshot Check at the end of the main events each night.

Official Technical Education Partner: Motorcycle Mechanics Institute (MMI)
MMI will have their fully-interactive mobile marketing unit at select Amp'd Mobile Supercross races this season, where fans can learn more about the school's programs and can see what an MMI education can do for them in the future. Fans can sign up for the fourth-annual Jeremy McGrath Scholarship, which provides one lucky recipient the opportunity to obtain an MMI education for free.  In addition, MMI will present the Top Tech Award to the AMA Supercross class technician who goes above and beyond on race day to help his rider make it to the main event.

Official Military: U.S. Air Force
The U.S. Air Force Honor Guard will present the colors at each event throughout the season.  Fans can experience the “Do Something Amazing Tour” which may consist of life-sized F-16 jet, the turbine engine, and the specially-designed Air Force chopper in the pit party.

Official Power Tool: Makita
Fans can visit the Makita semi in the pits, where they will be able to test all the products in the LXT Lithium Ion line.  Makita’s LXT Lithium Ion is 18-volt power at 12-volt weight, provides a more compact design and delivers a longer run time. Fans can experience all 35 models in the LXT Lithium ion line at Amp’d Mobile Supercross events.

Official Tobacco Product: US Smokeless Tobacco Company (USSTC)
USSTC will distribute samples of their various smokeless tobacco products to fans ages 18+ older at their Adult Only facilities in the pits and facility’s concourses.  In addition, USSTC is the sponsor of the US Smokeless Tobacco Company Pro Privateer Challenge, which will award the top three finishing AMA Supercross class privateers a total of $50,000 in cash and various other prizes.

Official Energy Drink: Rockstar Energy Drink
Rockstar Energy Drink will have a rig in the pits where fans can sample the entire Rockstar Energy Drink line, interact with Rockstar Energy Drink models, and experience how it feels to "Party Like a Rockstar."  

KTM: Sponsor of the KTM Junior Supercross Challenge
For the 11th year, KTM will sponsor the KTM Junior Supercross Challenge (KJSC), where 15 seven and eight year-old riders will be given the opportunity to be factory riders for a day. Their superstar day ends with a three-lap race during the night program of each Amp’d Mobile Supercross race. The top finishing KJSC rider at each race is invited to compete in Las Vegas at the Rockstar Energy Drink U.S. Open.
