Blake Baggett came into Daytona ready and wasted no time in showing he was prepared to battle for the win as he posted the 7th-fastest time of the day. In his heat race, Blake charged from outside the top five, making moves to finish 3rd and transfer into the main event.

His start to the main event had Blake once again charging from outside the top ten through the field, as he would get tied up in the first turn and start his race from 18th place. He hit his marks every lap on the treacherous track, working his way up to 8th by the halfway point. With his wrist still sore, Blake slid back only one spot to finish the night in 9th place.

“Tonight was tough,” said Blake. “My start wasn’t there in the main and fought through the field all night. Unfortunately, it wasn't the result we wanted. We’ll look forward, take the week to rest and come into St. Louis ready to get back up to the front."

Benny Bloss has been steadily improving each week, and Daytona was his best race yet. He showed speed during his heat race as he battled for position to finish 7th and secure a spot in the main event. With complete focus, Benny again timed the gate perfectly and had one of his best starts thus far this season, as his Dunlop tires hooked up off the gate and rounded the first turn inside the top ten. He fought his way up to 8th place by the halfway point of the race. Benny slid back a few spots, finishing the night in the 11th spot.

Anthony Rodriguez day would be cut short. He would go down hard during afternoon practice and re-aggravate a pre-season injury. After discussions with the team, Anthony decided to sit the night out to heal up and be ready to return at this weekend’s race in St. Louis.

After ten rounds, Team Rocky Mountain ATV/MC-KTM-WPS will travel to St.Louis, MO, for round eleven of the 2018 Monster Energy Supercross Series.
