FUNCHAL (Portugal), 5 July 2012 – In a few weeks time the British track of Matterley Basin is about to make history hosting the biggest Motocross Show ever with four days of racing including up to ten different categories. The MXGP Festival will start on Thursday 16th August and it will conclude on Sunday 19th August.

The first ones to go on the track of Matterley Basin onThursdaywill be the riders taking part in theFIM Women’s Motocross World Championship, theFIM Veterans World Cupand theAmateurclass. They will have their free and time practice, as well as the first race of each class. OnFridayit will be the turn of theMX3and theEMXriders, who will take part in their free and time practices, as well as the qualifying races if needed. The EMX125 and EMX250 will have their first race already in the afternoon and theAmateur Super Finalwill conclude a day of exciting racing.

OnSaturdaytheMX1andMX2riders will test the British track and they will follow the traditional timetable with the qualifying races in the afternoon, whereas theEMX 65ccand85ccwill dispute their first races in the morning. TheWMXandVMXriders will have their second and final heat on Saturday and theMX3riders will have their two races on the same day.

Thefinal racesof theEMX 65cc, 85cc, 125ccand250ccwill take place during the day onSunday, while theMX1andMX2riders follow their usual Sunday timetable.

The entries for theAmateur raceare already opened, so if you want to live theMXGP Festivalfrom the inside and feel like a World Champion, follow theriders’ adviseand contact your FederationNOW! The entries for the event are limited!
