Press Release

Jace makes it 6 for 6 Friday Night in Baltimore!

Jace and Ben came out swinging Friday night finishing 1 and 2 in their heat race showing the rest of the riders they had no intentions of resting on their results from last week. The pressure was especially high on Jace Owen going into Fridays main event, not only did he have the red plate he also had his perfect record of main event wins on the line.

So how did he handle it? With the holeshot and 15 laps running out front to take his 5th main event win of the season.  Ben started 5th but a little mistake toward the end dropped him back to 8th. This gave Jace the first gate pick for the second moto, but Ben was stuck with the last outside gate pick on the first row.

Jace repeats his first main performance exactly, starting first, and racking up 15 perfect laps to get his 6th main event win in a row. In fact, out of 90 laps so far- he's led 80 of them. Not a bad start to the season. Ben struggled with an 11th place start, but kept his head down to earn a respectable 6th when the checkered flag flew.

Going into Saturday night’s event, the pressure on Jace is starting to get intense. He holeshots his heat race only to make a slight bobble on the 3rd lap, letting Faith by, Jace stayed right on his rear fender to finish second with Ben in 5th and our third rider Dillon Cloyed right behind him in 6th making his first main event of the season.

Jace got his "worst" start of the year so far in the main- second right behind last year’s champion Gavin Faith. Ben was involved in a first turn incident which left him in 13th the first lap. A nice steady ride on a very hard to pass track got him back up to 8th at the flag.

The second main start had Jace in 4th and Ben in 6th on a track that was now almost impossible to pass on. Jace rode a smart race and finished 4th, which still gave him 2nd overall. Ben came in right behind him in 5th.  It was a good weekend for Jace, he finished with a 1st and 2nd to extend his series points lead from 11 to 20.

Next race we will be in Nashville, TN... if you’re around stop in and see us!
