PAYSON, UT (January 21, 2020) - Rocky Mountain ATV/MC will be returning as the title sponsor for the AMA sanctioned 2020 WORCS Sprint Racing series. Five rounds, including a double round in Cahuilla, CA, will take place from February-September.
Sprint enduro racing has long been a popular race format, but it was only recently brought to the West Coast by Podium Promotions LLC in 2018. Inspired by existing races, the WORCS Sprint Racing series includes six “special tests” each weekend for each rider. A blend of motocross style, single track, and sand sections, the courses pit riders against the clock rather than against other racers. Riders will complete one test at a time, leaving the starting line in 30-second intervals. The longest anyone will ride at full speed is approximately 10 minutes, and each rider will get approximately 60 minutes of riding per day. Points are accumulated based on overall finishing position – the faster the racer, the lower the points. Overall points at the end of the season will determine the series champion.
As the title sponsor of the series, Rocky Mountain ATV/MC will award a $10 Race Gas credit to every competing racer for each weekend they race. The credits can be used on the RockyMountainATVMC.com website.
