THOR Athletes Crowned Champions in Vegas

Poway, CA – May 8, 2019 – After 16 rounds, the AMA/FIM Supercross Championship had reached the final race of the season in Las Vegas, NV, where all three titles were to be decided. THOR athletes, Cooper Webb and Dylan Ferrandis, both came away from the weekend victorious, capturing the 450 AMA Supercross Championship and 250 AMA Supercross West Regional Championship.

The 2019 season has been nothing short of incredible for Webb. Scoring his first 450 Supercross win at Anaheim 2 was all it took to ignite Webb’s confidence, as he went on to take six more main event wins and numerous podiums. The North Carolina native entered the final round of the season with a commanding points lead, but still put in an impressive third place ride to secure the championship.

“It's been an incredible journey, I made a lot of changes coming into the season and put in a lot of hard work with Aldon and the team,” said Webb. “This has been my dream since I was a little kid, and now I did it, I feel blessed and honored to have my name in the record books as a 450 Supercross Champion.”

Despite some challenges throughout the season, Ferrandis fought hard to pull within striking distance of the championship for the final round. The Frenchman got off to a great start in the main event, made some quick passes and went on to win the race. With the win, Ferrandis gained enough points to clinch the 250 West Regional Championship.
