Blake Baggett came in ready to do battled and looked fast on the Minneapolis track as he layed down the 5th fastest time of the day. He would launch out of the gate in his heat race and round the first turn inside the top three. Blake hit his marks ever lap and rode strong to a 5th place finish transferring straight to the main event. He was all business in the main event, as he used his FMF power to round the first turn inside the top four. Blake would ride a calculated race, keeping the pressure on Ken Roczen for over ¾ of the race until making his move towards the front and for 3rd place. His night would take a turn for the worse, however, when he mistimed a set of rollers crashing hard. After catching his breath, Blake would get up with only minor bruises and ride back to the pits on his own power ending his night.

“I had the speed to win tonight,” said Baggett. “It was unfortunate I made a mistake that ended my night, as I felt I had a good chance at the win. The good news after my crash is I’m leaving here healthy, so we’ll regroup and be ready to battle for the win next weekend at Arlington.”

Justin Bogle launched out of the gate in his heat race leading the field into turn one to grab the holeshot. He would lose the lead a few turns later to Justin Brayton only to come back with an assertive pass back to lead the start of the race. After a missed shift shuffled Justin back a few spots, the Engine Ice supported rider held strong to finish 4th and transfer straight to the main event. Justin’s forward progress in the main event was hindered by a mid-pack start. As the track wore away, he would struggle to find his rhythm and took the checkered flag in 13th place.

“Tonight didn’t go my way” said Bogle. “I felt I rode well tonight, even though I didn’t get the start I needed in the main event. We are making good progress and am looking forward to getting back up to the front at Arlington next weekend.”
