Two new Junior Motocross World Champions on KTM

More than 140 MX riders of the classes 80cc and 125cc from over 26 nations came to the MX track north of the Finnish capital Helsinki to participate in the battle of the MX Junior world championship title. 40 of them qualified on saturday for the heats on sunday.

In the 80cc class Italian rider Alessandro Lupino won all two heats on his KTM and therewith the overall victory and the WCH title. Ken Roczen (GER, Suzuki) who took the pole position in the first round but lost it to his opponents could make it for the third place in the first heat and a fourth in the second heat, to the runner-up title. The third place took Eli Tomac with a 9-2 result.

The new world champion in the 125 cc class is Joel Roelants on KTNM. The Belgian won the first, and passed the line as fourth in the second heat. Gert Krestinov from Estland finished on his KTM as runner-up champion with a 6-2 result as the French Marvin Musquin who was tied with a 2-6 result became overall third.
