Shane McElrath has started off the 2017 West season strong but now has a battle on his hands with Justin Hill and even Aaron Plessinger starting to put in some good finishes. After speaking to Shane, he seems very focused on the title chase but taking it one race at a time. We even asked him how his situation would be for 2018, because if he takes the title he would be bumped up. It honestly didn't seem to phase Shane as he's focused on the "now".
