With Jeffrey Herlings, Pauls Jonass and eventually Jorge Prado sidelined, Davy Pootjes was the only MX2 factory rider for KTM.
Davy, still not completely injury-free, managed to score a sixth in moto 1 but had to retire in moto 2.
