2010 Husqvarna Motocross Models 6

Ready for a spicy Italian model? Here's a pre-spec look at the Husqvarna MX models. They're claiming less weight, increased reliability, improved performance and handling were the goals for '10. Good call. (We'd have been spooked if they said otherwise.)

Here are a few highlights of what's in the works for this year for the TC (four-stroke MX) models, and the CR125 two-stroke...

  • New IPD (in–mould plastic decoration) graphics on tank sides panels and race number plate.

  • New stronger, more flexible plastics.

  • New 48 mm Kayaba forks (excluding WR 125).

  • New fork clamps for Kayaba forks.

  • New exhaust pipe (CR125) for improved power distribution.

  • New silencer CR125).

  • Frame reinforced in the high stress areas (CR125, all TCs).

  • New stronger, lighter front and rear wheel hubs.

  • New stronger front and rear axles.

  • Rear swingarm shortened by 15 mm to improve traction and handling.

  • New rear disc (TE and TC only).

  • New radiator connectors and coolant hoses.
