Review by Andre Barbosa // Photos by Arthur Barbosa I typically avoid vented gear, as in the past I've had some issues with their durability. However, gear manufacturing and design have evolved significantly and I thought it was time to give another set a try. My gear of choice was the spring release of the Max Air line from MSR, a company started by the legendary Malcolm Smith in 1971. MSR Max Air Features: Two color options: White/Blue and Yellow/Red. Review by Shane Anderson // Photos by Shane Anderson and Michael Lindsay When talking about bike setup, riders often focus on items like jetting specs, EFI mapping, and suspension clickers. But the one thing that you rarely hear anyone comment on is their sag adjustment. This can be an overlooked adjustment, despite one that's often recommended specifically by suspension tuners. This is probably related to a bike's sag being difficult and a bit time-consuming to adjust. That's where X-Trig's

Ride Engineering 2014 YZ250F Linkage
Overall Review
Review and photos by Michael Lindsay and Andre Barbosa Whenever an all new model hits the market, it usually gets the most attention when it comes to aftermarket support. This also includes our attention, as we want to address everything we possibly can with the bike. With the new YZ250F having an all-new chassis, we've spent quite a few hours this year seeing if it was possible to improve on the stock characteristics. After trying a few triple clamp options (which you can check out here), we

ProTaper Tri-Density Half Waffle MX Grip

Review and Photos by Joe Carlino At some point almost every rider will crash, then lift it up to find that the end of the grip is shredded and the handlebar exposed. This is not only a bummer, but could also be the end of your day at the track. The new Pro Taper Tri-Density grips are designed to withstand more abuse on the grip ends, yet leaving the compound in the contact area of your hands tacky and comfortable. Leatt GPX 5.5 Neck Brace
The Good
Great range of mobility. Very easy to adjust. Fold flat feature makes it easy to fit in your gear bag. Lightweight.
The Bad
The only bad I have found so far is the height pads on the sides of the brace can come out easy. Now this isn't an issue when riding, but I usually have to hunt around my gear bag to find one after it's fallen out. I will be storing the brace in a helmet bag now to mitigate this.
Overall Review
This is my first brace and I'm happy with the choice I made to get the GPX 5.5 from Leatt. I hope I never have to put it to the test but I feel more confident wearing this device. After a few laps I didn't even notice I was wearing it. Review by Michael Lindsay // photos by Michael Lindsay and Andre Barbosa Every time I see a new helmet hit the market I think, "How much is your head worth?" I know budget-wise, getting the most expensive helmet isn't always an option. Because of this, we always try to test out as many helmets as possible in varying price ranges. Although the AGV AX-8 EVO has been on the market for a few years, its unique design interested me, and I've been riding in one for a few months. AGV AX-8 EVO Features

Review and photos by Andre Barbosa Scott has been making motocross goggles since 1970, and I recently had the opportunity to test their Tyrant model. Over the years I have used several different brands of goggles, including Scott, with varying levels of success, but this was my first experience with the Tyrant goggles. I also tend to be more concerned about goggles than the average user because I wear contact lenses, and they do not mix well with sweat or even the tiniest bit of dirt. Scott

Yoshimura RS-4 SS/AL Full System for 2014 YZ250F
Overall Review
Review by Michael Lindsay // Photos by Michael Lindsay and GuyB The 2014 YZ250F's biggest improvement over its predecessor is its new and much more powerful engine. It reigns in as the torquiest stock 250F we've ridden. Even with an amazing powerplant, there is always room for improvement, right? The YZ250F is at its best from the low to mid-range, but some may consider it signing off a bit early and falling a little flat on the top end. After seeing the results of a few aftermarket exhausts, we

Sadly, the dirt out west is not nearly as tacky as what we originally rode on at Monster Mountain in Alabama, so after putting in some time on the YZF in home territory, we wanted

Review and photos by Andre Barbosa I'm a firm believer that you can substantially extend the longevity of a four-stroke engine if you feed it a steady diet of clean air, good fuel, and high-quality oil, at regular intervals. As a result, I'm very methodical about always keeping clean and well-oiled filters in my bikes. This task is made much easier if you have a few air filters in rotation, as it's much easier to clean several filters once a month, rather than cleaning a single filter every week
