That looked like inexperience on that type of jump. Its almost the same type of get off that Villipoto did in St. Louis where he broke his ankle, etc. however, it was plain to see that Ryan was going to come up way short of the landing. This guy looks like he just panicked because if he had pulled up on the front of the bike just a little he would have completed the jump. I am guessing just not enough experience on a supercross style jump?

Really? He seat bounced it and all of his weight got kicked forward, there was no way for him to "just pull the front end up a little"...also if you listen close enough you can hear that he is hard on the rev limiter in the air...which indicates that he was trying everything he could to get the front to lift. When your weight gets kicked forward like that, you basically end up at the mercy of the bike.

At the mercy of the bike. Could not have said it better myself. I had a very similar crash back in 2011. Seat bounced a 90ft camel back on a Cr85r and I went from seeing the sky to smacking the ground hands and face first. Dislocated every bone and ligament in my wrist, broke my arm twice, broke my elbow, and had a severe nerve pinch. There was nothing he could have done to save it. Even a rider and the top of his game would not have been able to save that. The experience he showed was bailing out to avoid possible worse injuries. hope the rider is alright, good to see him up and able to move out of harms way as fast as he did.

There's a kicker in the lip. which you can see before he takes off. He seat bounces and the rear unloads off the kicker, so the tires leaves the ground early, plus it bottoms out so it kicked severely. Thus the endo and the momentum traveling forward, you can't resist the bike's momentum and just "pull up" to save it...
