Tharshers stayin at star
Romano and Stilez are up in the air but will likely both be back depending on Max going back to start 15 years after they let him go after a damn decent 2nd year in the states.
If max is back one of the 2 might be gone. Also idk anything on lopes.
A bit sad anstie to star he is 31years old they better give a talent a chance..... anstie has already had enough opportuities........
Do we know anything about Tomac doing outdoors this year? If he’s doing it seems about time for that news release to drop.
The Shop
Rumor is that he wants to race lommel mxgp
Magic 8 ball says, signs point to yes.
I don’t think you can criticize star racing for not giving youngsters a chance. They own half the damn gate.
Yes you are right about that........ yet i think that a 31 year old rider who has ridden mxgp for years should not be in that classs
More like ML's job. I don't work for Vital.
thought Jett's was up in 2025?
Going to be an ALL time circus in 2026 then!
Jett is signed through 2025.
If there was a good spot that wanted him I would think that Hunter would go.
I wonder what kind of base salary he will get once the negotiations start in a years time. Is it possible that he gets close to 5 million?
On a global level, Honda freed up a shit ton of money when Marquez ended his deal in MotoGP with them. His base salary was around 20-25 million € so they should have the funds to really tigh down Jett to a huge longterm deal.
Although the MotoGP project is eating up a lot of money since they are testing a lot trying to get the bike anywhere near the top 10.
Lopes has been riding MX back home. He doesnt have much strengh on his right hand/fingers making it hard for him to ride SX with tight turns and lots of front braking. He hasn't seen much improvement lately so it's a big if for outdoors or next year.
This thread makes it sound like Star Racing is going to have a 12 rider 250 team next year.
they are at 9 current riders...just a couple to go.
Danger
Mossiman
Romano
Thrasher
Smith
Towers
Lopes
Robertson
Bennick
I could see them actually cutting back some for next year.
It’s a professional class not schoolboy and Star is looking for the riders that give them the best chance to win. I don’t think any available up and coming talent gives them a better chance than Anstie
Ok but that’s not star’s or max’s problem.
Pit Row
I think Max Anstie is great...but he will not be winning many races (if any) in 2025 or beyond. He is not a 2025 title contender.
I hear the Coenen brothers may come to the States in 2025 instead of 2026.
Max on a star bike would be a title contender year 1.
It doesn't really matter who goes where to be honest. If the underperforming guys with factory rides or always getting injured guys with good rides still do the same thing they've been doing, the color of the motorcycle will not change a thing... With those guys, I feel like watching the Memento movie.
What exactly do you mean? It helped Tomac and Webb going to Yamaha right? Anderson improved his first year at Kawi. Agree that the 5th - 20th place guys it kind of doesn't matter what color the bike is.
I think he’s alluding to the guys that get injured year after year, McAdoo, Forkner etc..
I know this has been talked about for a year or longer, but that would/will be a huge loss for the GP series, Lucas in particular is an amazing talent, especially once he finds that balance between crazy speed and crashing every other moto. That dude is a dog, he hates to lose. Sasha is pretty dang fast too but is so short. He has had tip over crashes in almost every moto this year, sometimes just because he can't get his feet down far enough or fast enough to stay upright. He must be 5'4"? And at 17 he may not grow much more....
Would be awesome to see them and Kay De Wolf come next year (or in 26) but I do enjoy watching the GPs and hate to see that series diminished further.
Phoenix Honda won’t be back for 2025
In Pro MX & SX or all around?
Yeah...what genius started that rumor? He's not going to bring his entire family abroad just to do one race. And he's certainly not going to do it for a few rounds of MXGP.
Not sure where you going with this. Did it boost their careers after a bad season? yes. BUT... Tomac, Webb and Anderson have more wins & championships with their former rides to start. Webb and Anderson haven't won 1 yet with their new team. I know it's only Coop's first year back and he's in the hunt.
That wasn't my point anyway. My point was, if McAdoo, Forkner, Hymas, Vohland, Brown, Craig, Malcom, and whoever contract is up this season, do the same thing they've been doing for years on a different bike, the outcome will be the same. What I'd rather know is what their new team will put in place to make those guys improve and be better rather than giving them a check and a bike...
