First time poster. Just picked up a 97 rm250 for $150. Guy said it hasn’t ran for 2 years, obviously needs some love. Forks looked good, motor turned right over. Needs cosmetic repairs also. This is my first bike rebuild so it’ll probably be going slow, any advice would be greatly appreciated. But a nice winter project. Will post photos soon!

That’s what I was thinking. Even if I don’t finish it I can part it out for more than $150.

Best bike I've owned. I just sold my 08 rm250 and am looking for another 97. Great bike!

Looks like a great platform for a build. Little frame wear from what I can tell. Are you doing a frame up resto?

I’m not too sure yet. Like I said this is my first rebuild, so I just want to get the thing riding good first before I worry about how it looks.
