I have Ernesto's #24 jersey from Daytona '05. He donated it for a benefit auction. A friend of mine had broken his neck on a practice day in Louisiana and our vintage club had a benefit race for him. I believe it was Alley Semar who collected a whole load of gear from Daytona. While my friend Boobie was in the hospital his mother in law was killed in an auto accident. From bad to worse. About six months later, Byron "Boobie" Linder himself was also killed in an auto accident when he pulled out in front of a gravel truck. Fortunately his son and his son's friend who were in the vehicle with him escaped the accident with minor injuries. That was a tough one. I was in the process of building the 81 YZ250 in my avatar so I could kick Boobie's ass on his 81 Maico 490. Probably wishful thinking on my part, but I was looking forward to some fun times. The #24 jersey is unsigned, one day I'll get it autographed and framed. Kind of special considering what Ernesto and Boobie went through.

I had still been wearing my EF wrist band but it broke yesterday and was wondering how he is doing? You never hear about him anymore...
