generally to ship from NY to CA with shipping its like 75$. USPS has always been the cheapest in my experience.

Ship UPS and insured for the full replacement valve and I would bet its $125+

Ship USPS for half that and pray to whatever god you believe in that you'll even see it again.

I sent my forks and shock from TN to SoCal to be revalved and used my works UPS business account (commercial rate) with insurance and it was about $125-$150 I recall. If you take it to a UPS store it will be way higher. You’re best bet is to get weight and measurements and call for a quote.
