When will we see the shootout?
Staring at it right now. Editing and proofing...but we have all the results now. I'm hoping Sunday, if not it'll be Monday when it goes up.

Stoked to see. I saw Dirt Bike Mag but the KTM on top again this year in their shootout. Thanks ML!

My opinion is it doesn't really have anymore power down-low in the aggressive mode, it just revs quicker and gets into the mid range faster in that map than the standard one.
Physics say that if the tire isn't spinning or the clutch isn't slipping the only way it's going to rev faster is if it's making more power.

As a current Alta owner I'm curious if you included it in your shootout?

I thought I heard someone was including it, maybe it was Keefer?

It's in Keefer's. I don't have one and we'd need a few to get through our testing day. The bikes basically don't stop out our Shootout, I'm not sure how we'd get an Alta through them without having multiple bikes. They wouldn't even have enough time to change the battery packs. I'll be looking into it more for next year.

ML, nice job on the shootout. Very thorough and precise. Speaking of the Honda would you go up 1 or 2 teeth on the rear to gain a little bottom end back? Thanks

I'm interested in the independent exhaust systems. They appear to have different diameters and only one side has a resonator. I'm assuming this is to try to separate the blow-down pressure pulse and get a different resonance at each valve to try to use for scavenging. Are both cam lobes on the exhaust symmetric? I'd expect that you could play some games with advancing one lobe from the other now that each valve has it's own exhaust system.

Hey guys. I just joined to find the answer to one question. I own a 2018 Honda CRF250R and I love it... BUT... Im trying to install a Trail Tech Voyager onto it (all I do is trail ride) and I dont think it will work on this bike because of the funky battery voltage. I was told not to use a normal trickle charger on it because it would ruin the battery (which costs 500 bucks BTW). I could be completly off with my facts but Im having an issue getting the trail tech to power on. Any thoughts or pointing me in the right direction while I continue to pour over the owners manual would be awesome! Thanks!
