Who’s your pick for a surprise winner for hangtown? I’m gonna go with Craig for the 450. Not to sure on 250.

Craig win a national?..you have to be kidding.

I'd say there needs to be like 7 or 8 guys that have a bad moto or two for that to happen.

I will pick AMart for the 250s...not really a surprise, but saw a lot of people mentioning Osborne, JMart, Plessinger, and AC92 (before he said he was having surgery) and haven't seen much mention of AMart, other than a thread last night I saw saying he was looking quick, at least I was lead to believe it was him.

Why don’t you think craig can win? Or atleast get a moto win? Dude is fast outdoors and finally on a 450 full season

i dont think anyone would say he doesnt have the skill or speed/potential.

Mentally Craig is going to hoping for at most top 5's. He is in a pivotal moment where he is trying to earn a 450 ride so he is looking for consistent top results. He doesnt believe he can or should be up front with guys like tomac and moose. Craig has never been there and will be happy with being close

if Craig believes, then he could be on the podium and even win one of these

Sexton would be a good surprise and he has the potential to do it (if Osborne doesn't get 2 good starts).

Curious to see how Shane Mcelrath does. Was awful quiet outdoors last year. Also, want to see how Jordon Smith does; showed some promise 2 years ago with some good rides, obviously missed outdoors last year.

Tomac, Musquin, Baggett, Anderson, and Barcia, none would be a surprise in my opinion. I'm gonna go with Craig or Peick.

It's crazy how everyone looks at Anderson as a surprise winner like he didn't just win the SX title... pretty sure the dude will win a few motos

Roczen will be lucky for a top 5 imo.. he just did his first full 40 min moto like last week. Gonna take some time. But who knows he is a freak of nature athlete

MM25 Had it all over ET3 the last half of the 17 season. So I wouldn't be so sure about that.

Since I was asked by two people here is my response.

Last year craig's results per round:

1. 9-14 for 12th OA
2. 4-29 for 12th OA
3. DNS?
4. 37-39 for 39th OA
5. 5-12 for 11th OA
6. 10-7 for 7th OA, which was best result of the year

Rounds 7-12 he was hovering around 8th and 9th OA

I haven't seen a moto where he finished top 3 , nor have I seen him put in two good motos (10-7) is not good, its okay. Good is like 1-3, 2-3, 4-2, etc. I dont think Criag will win a race this year, that's my opinion.I have provided evidence for why I believe that.

It would be his first outdoor overall and he's coming off a 2 week bender so I would consider it a little surprising Laughing
