Riders who won their first US pro race?

I can think of a few riders who have won their first pro race. Are there any others?

• Ernesto Fonseca @ Tampa 1999
(Note: Fonseca was also the first rider to win a 125 SX aboard a 250f at Anaheim in 2001)

• Sebastian Tortelli @ Los Angeles SX season opener in 1998
(Note: This was a one-off US race for Tortelli as he did not come to US full time until 1999)

• Sebastian Tortelli also won his Pro motocross debut in 1999 at Glen Helen

• Eli Tomac @ Hangtown outdoor opener

• Adam Cianciarulo won his first 3 SX races in 2014

Honorable mentions....
• James Stewart placed second in his pro SX debut, but won his second SX race in 2002
• James Stewart won his first Pro Motocross at Hangtown in 2002
• Doug Henry was first to win on a 4-stroke in Las Vegas 1997
• Ricky Carmichael placed 6th in his rookie debut at the Steel City finale in 1996, but won the opening MX round the following year in 1997

Honorable mention:

Pourcel. Preparing for the 2007 GP season came over to test the waters. Finished 2nd in his first SX race (behind RV), then won the following weekend. A couple of years later he would come over full-time, albeit, after his major injury.

Windham had a good ride his first pro race after Loretta's. Can't remember what it was exactly. I think he had the lead for most of the first moto.

Windham won a 250 SX race as an active 125 rider. If it wasn’t his first 250 SX race it was damn sure his second or third.

Windams rode his first national and first pro race at Gatorback in March of 1994. Which is odd because Lorrettas is in August. He must have taken the sx 1994 season off?Huh

If you don't count the one off races, the same can be said for Chad Reed.

First full season of 125/250 SX in 2002, he won Indy. (Won the first 6 races)

First full season of 250/450 SX in 2003, he won A1.

He didn't win but the first 450 SX race he did J-Law got 2nd (Daytona 2009).

Yeah I guess I was confused. I thought it was after LL for some reason. He was on a Kawasaki with his 3 digit amateur number if I recall.

1985 - Eddie Warren won his first pro race which was also the very first 125 SX.
1991 - Brian Swink won his very first pro SX race after racing the last couple nationals in fall 90 after Loretta lynns

I rememeber watching AC first 3 rounds thinking...holy shit it’s gonna be another 7x sx champ like McGrath.....

Then I can’t remwmebwr which round I went to. Was so pumped to see the kid race and he wolloped himself into the ground in the heat and missed the main.
