Last time I rode a 08 rmz 250 and i made now a pretty good deal for a kx 250f 2015 with 40 hours for 3300 euros.. The suspension is set up for 90kg so i thought it will be not so good the first time im riding (60 kg). I was riding yesterday the first time and damn! This bike is so smooth, track was in a pretty bad shape lots of holes and dry ruts but still it was smooth like butter in the straights. Im really impressed. Did the bikes really changed that much over the last few years or is it just me? Cant wait how it feels when its set up for my height and weight.

A lot of people want to tell you they good in that timeframe but personally I don’t think so aside from fuel injection... handling wise? No

Well it feels a lot different to what I was used to
in the corners it feels not that great yet, but like i said the suspension is not set up for me at all yet so i was very impressed how it sucked up the big holes

The 250's gained a lot of power during those years. The 14 Kawi is way faster than that 08 RMZ

Some brands like Suzuki definitely went backwards from a suspension perspective over the last 10 years (IMO). I have an 05 RM 250 in the garage and the Showa shock and forks on that bike are still pretty awesome, even in the ballpark of KYB SSS (when I ride them side by side). I don't understand some of the choices these companies make, or what the heck their in house test riders are telling them?
